Happy 1st Birthday!

Today it’s Meeko & Mitsi’s 1st Birthday.
It’s already a year ago since our Kittens were born at the Waldhof (check the link) farm in Schneisingen (a little village about a 10 minute drive from here).
How time flies!

And look at them now!
Our adorable, exploring (especially Meeko, he keeps us on our toes with his runaways), hungry (are always very interested if there is anything fishy our rubbish bag), cheeky (try to take over our Labradors bed by lying right in the middle of it as soon as she gets up for a drink or a walk) , sleepy (definitely the thing they do best), playful (anything that catches their eyes is in danger, even if it’s someone asleep under a duvet, that seems to be absolutely irresistible and has to be pounced on)…

…but we wouldn’t change them one bit and it’s hard to image a life without these two tumbling around us.

  1. Aren’t cats the best fun? We have two in the house and six in our barn! We love their antics. Your pictures are beautiful as usual. Thank you for sharing.

  2. Their personalities really come through in your photos! Those are my kind of cats, the ones who like being with the family, and don’t just sit off to the side being snobbish. Their baby photos are adorable, but they are looking very handsome as young adults😊

  3. How sweet they are! We are a cat family as well and your orange tabby reminds me of our cat Opie. He was with us before we had kids and he left us when our son was 10 or 11 (making Opie about 14 when he passed). It was great for our kids to grow up with a pet, and he will always have a special place in our son’s heart. Enjoy your furry kids!

    • …I know, I still can’t believe it myself. On the other hand they have become such a part of our lives, that it seems like they’ve always been with uns. 🙂

  6. They are adorable, Tammy. Wonderful pictures too. Thanks for sharing. I like cats, but because we want to be able to travel, we haven’t gotten any cats. Our solution… volunteer with the local shelter and foster little 4 – 6 week old kittens and socialize them to prepare them for their forever homes! We love it! The hardest part is giving them up in the end. 😦
