It’s the first Sunday of Advent. Our reef is ready to be lit. So to get a little christmassy, I decided to bake some gingerbread men. I love it when the house smells of Christmas spices and baking with the little ones is always fun, if maybe a little bit messy.
The Ingredients
500g flour
1tsp baking powder
1tsp salt
2tsp ginger
2tsp cinnamon
1tsp nutmeg
1tsp cloves
200g butter
200g sugar
250g honey or maple sirup
2 eggs
Lovely 🙂
We made our Christmas cakes today – the next Sundays, they get “fed”

They look (and probably taste) amazing ! Where did you get those cutters – was it in Switzerland ? If so, where ? You’ve given me an idea for Jude for Christmas! (I hope she doesn’t read this !) 🙂

Thanks, the kiddies love them. It’s difficult to stop them from munching them all. 🙂 🙂 🙂
But obviously they’re not the only ones…clever idea to get Jude some cutters. (I bought mine at our local Migros)

I love gingerbread so much! But I’m not letting myself bake any until next weekend (when it’s officially December) in what I think will be a futile attempt to curb my consumption!
