Pumpkin bread

© Mrs. TwinkleI wanted to do something different with our pumpkins (as I usually make soup) when I found this recipe I thought I’d give it a go. Although the crust turned a deeper shade of brown than I would have liked, it still tastes extremely good!

200g grated pumpkin
100g dried pumpkin seeds
500g spelt flour
1 pinch of salt
1 sachet yeast
2tbsp brown sugar
3dl warm water

Knead and leave to rise for about 30 minutes. Preheat the oven at 200°C. Put the dough in the tin and bake for about 40 minutes (maybe a bit less so that it doesn’t turn quite so dark).
