Summer Is Coming To An End…

…the Indian summer is here.  The mornings are cool and crisp. The days sunny and warm. The only down side is that it’s getting to the end of gardening season. The hydrangea has lost it’s bright pink and turned into a soft pastel shade of coral. The rosemary has stopped sprouting twigs. Only the ivy seems to be thriving. So I’m making the most of it and pottering around…

Wrap long pieces of ivy into a wreath, secure it with some gardening wire. Cut the leaves off the hydrangeas stems, lay them on the ivy and bind them with the wire. Do the same with the rosemary. Keep on going alternatively until you come round to the beginning. If you want it to look a little more festive you could add some ribbon.
