Spring showers and cool temperatures. The kids will be home from school/ kindergarten cold and very wet (no matter how well they’re equipped nothing seems to survive puddle jumping). It’s definitely soup for lunch!
Half a small cabbage
a quarter of a celery root
1 clove of garlic
salt, pepper, thyme or any preferable seasoning
Cook onions and garlic for a minute in a knob of butter or a lug of olive oil. Add the chopped vegtables, 1 liter of water and the seasoning. Leave to simmer for about 20 minutes, then purée (very important if you want to smuggle in some vegetables that the kids don’t like). Now it’s ready to serve. If you like it creamy then add 2.5 dl of double cream or a dollop crème fraiche.
